For the second time, awards from KSU have found their four-legged heroes! Today, October 20, the II “FOUR LEGGED DEFENDERS” awarding ceremony took place.
Service dogs with their canine handlers from 10 state authorities of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, who take an active part in saving people and protecting our country, including service in combat areas, were invited to the award ceremony, namely: the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Armed Forces The Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard of Ukraine, National Police of Ukraine, State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, State Security Office of Ukraine, State Customs Service of Ukraine, State Criminal Enforcement Service of Ukraine (Department for Enforcement criminal penalties).
23 service dogs received honorary awards in four nominations:
- SEARCH FOR EXPLOSIVES
- SPECIAL PURPOSE DOG
- SEARCH FOR NARCOTICS
- FOR A LIFE SAVED
The special guest of the Ceremony is Larisa Borysenko, head of the legendary Pavlograd search and rescue unit “ANTARES” (Pavlograd search and rescue canine unit “Antares”) together with her equally legendary Belgian Malinois shepherd Sparky.
